- The original Arcade has many features that were taken out of the Nintendo 64 release which includes the following.
- This game requires quarters to play the game.
- The player literally could sit in the drivers seat and drive with a steering wheel and shaft stick just like driving a car.
- The opening theme song sings "Cruis'n USA yeah!"
- The Corn pops cereal ad is featured on the Billboard.
- The Manuel drive is called XL Powershaft
- The sexy trophy girl is wearing a revealing bikini as she holds the trophy out, also the sexy woman is seen waving a checked flag at the start of each race wearing a bikini outfit.
- The player runs the risk of crashing into deer and cows crossing the road in which causes the animals to decapitate into bloody body parts. The player can also crash into other cars which don't get smashed up.
- In the Washington DC race, while the player goes into the tunnel, there are hundred dollar bills featuring Hillary Clinton smoking a cigarette.
- The original ending featured a President in a hot tub with 2 sexy women in bikinis in the hot tub and sexy women dancing in bikinis.
- The Nintendo 64 version has features that were censored or removed for the K-A rating or for license issues which includes the following.
- This game no longer requires quarters to play the game so the player could race as much as they want.
- The player no longer could sit in the drivers seat and had to use an N64 Controller to drive the race car.
- The opening theme song is extended which sings "Cruis'n USA yeah! Yeah! Whoa whoa, Oh whoa whoa whoa whoa!"
- The Corn pops cereal ad on the billboard has been removed from the game.
- The Manuel drive is now called XL Power.
- The trophy girl now wears a T-shirt to cover her stomach. However the sexy woman waving the checked flag at the start of each race remains uncensored, it's unknown how it got past the Nintendo censorship for a game rated K-A.
- The player can no crash into deer or cows as they have been entirely removed from the road, however you can see cows on the side of the road. But the player can still crash into cars on the road which got past the Nintendo censorship.
- In the Washington DC race, the hundred dollar bill now features Benjamin Franklin on it. The reason for this is because it depicted Hillary Clinton smoking a cigarette which wasn't allowed in Nintendo 64 games at the time.
- The ending now features a car show with businessman and cows in the background.
- The Nintendo Wii virtual console of Crusi'n USA now uses a Gamecube controller for the earlier Wii console models. Or requires the use of Wii Classic Controllers hooked up to a Wii mote to play the game and the later Wii console model ones or even the Wii U models.
