Wandering the rural and dusty roads of the ancient Han Kingdom, Wang-Fô, an aged master painter, and his indefatigable zealous disciple Ling, humbly seek inspiration in reality's harmonious representation. But alas, the pale Celestial Emperor claims that among the taciturn artisan's impeccable paintings, exists a mediocre and unflattering portrait of the Son of the Skies that has merited him execution, nevertheless, how is this possible? As a result, in his remaining hours, the Master is demanded to appease the Emperor's wrath, but is his art boundless?
