Recently, my boyfriend experienced a very nasty hangover. We were trying to numb his pain by laying him down on the couch with an ice pack and and plenty of water to keep him from feeling dehydrated. By his own volition, we had began to watch Cirque Du Soleil: Alegria, which I’d never seen before. In fact, I’d never watched any Cirque Du Soleil performances, but — to my surprise — it turned out that he was a big fan, having seen all of their performances each time they came through his hometown (not to mention here in New York, where he and I are both adults who pay our own way to the theater and concerts). I, personally, insist that Cirque Du Soleil is majorly creepy, given that people dressed like celestial demonclowns pull their junk over their foreheads as Pure Moods blasts in the background.
