• Continuity: When Conrad puts the crab lock in his pocket it's his left pocket. When he pulls it out it's his right.
  
  
• Continuity: The clean couch in the living room has pillows that disappear and re-appear between shots
  
  
• Continuity: After the Cat cuts off his tail, he wraps a bandage on it. After he turns around at a door and for the rest of the movie, the bandage is gone.
  
  

• Continuity: After the crash in the automobile, one of Sally's pigtails falls down. A short while later, the pig tail is fixed and back where it's supposed to be.
  
  
• Continuity: When the cat is putting his "clean up machine" back in its box, purple blobs can still be seen on the door frame.
  
  
• Crew or equipment visible: When one of the Things rides a bicycle down the staircase, you can see a string or cable trailing behind him.
  
  
• Continuity: When Quinn walks in and the children stop jumping on the couch, we can see the pillow over the "elephant compartment" sunken in. The pillow is quickly fixed before the next shot.
  
  
• Continuity: When we see the outside of the house, there is no skylight on the roof. However, when the children first meet the cat, there appears to be a skylight opening in the upstairs hall.
  
  
• Continuity: The screen door on the house appears and disappears. It is clearly there when Lawrence leaves after having the military school discussion with Joan and Conrad but is absent in subsequent scenes.

• Continuity: At the end of the movie, during the mom's party, while she is talking to the kids, the part in her hair changes sides.
  
  
• Continuity: As they are pulling out of the driveway in the SLOW in an overhead shot you can see that the Cat is wearing driving glasses and a scarf but in all subsequent shots the Cat is not wearing either.
  
  
• Continuity: As the children are waiting for the door to open as their mother returns they reach out and hold hands with each other. But when the door opens to reveal the Cat the children area standing apart and not holding hands.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: When Joan is driving away in her car, you can see that the wheels are fake and not moving.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: When Conrad slides out the door, Mom's car is parked against the flow of traffic. From earlier scenes, we know that the street is a two way street. By law, drivers must park their cars in the direction of the traffic flow on the side of the street where they park.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: The gloves worn with the cat costume has a thumb and three fingers. One of the fingers is larger because it contains two of Mike Myer's fingers.
  
  
• Continuity: When we see Quinn returning to his house, is is about 30 feet away from the right side of the children's house. However, when the storm is approaching, we are looking at the right side of the children's house from about 200 feet away. From 200 feet away, Quinn's house would be blocking our view of the children's house.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: When the cat gets hit in the 'private areas', it immediately cuts to him in the wintertime with "Easy Like Sunday Morning" playing. However, if you look in the upper right corner, you can see the green grass and a concrete sidewalk.
  
  
• Continuity: When the real cat piñata is thrown to Conrad and Sally, it is sealed, however after Cat is hit with bats, the piñata is open and Conrad throws candy so the kids won't hit Cat anymore.
  
  
• Continuity: When the cat says to Conrad "your mother is dating a guy named..." and he starts to pull out a paper from Conrad's right nostril, however in the last shot change during that scene, it is being pulled out of Conrad's left nostril.
  
  
• Continuity: While in the car, Cat gives both the kids their own steering wheels. When he pulls out his own, its a chain wheel, but when the camera switches its a normal steering wheel. Later in another shot, it's a chain again.
