The animation makes the basic concept amusing and imaginative throughout

A little old lady lives next door to a rather large and untidy biker sort of chap. Both drive bikes but, in keeping with her character hers is a rather small and slow affair; in keeping with his character, his is a large, noisy chopper. When both are down the post office (her for her pension, him for his dole) he takes the chance to steal her handbag, dropping his dole form in the process. Unaware of the theft, the old lady sets out to return it but, thanks to some drugs and a pint, the biker thinks she is much more a threat than she really is.

With a simple story and an initially obvious couple of clichés early on I didn't have great hopes for this short film but it quickly turns out to have much more going for it than I first thought and has a strong, darkly comic conclusion. The story sees our biker taking the old ladies money and helping himself to her pills at the same time – starting a series of hallucinations that take the old lady as their starting point. In this regard it is still simple in concept but imaginative in delivery, with the chase using all manner of twists to convey the same thing. It is funny and interesting throughout and the main reason is the animation.

Appearing basic at first, the style holds up well while also allowing imaginative turns and twists to come to life and blend seamlessly into one another. It is stylish and interesting and, without any dialogue, it is the main reason for watching the film. The story is OK of course and helps set the comic tone but really it is the animation that is the show and, overall, it is this that makes this short imaginative and consistently amusing and well worth seeing should you get the opportunity.
