One of the best TV-series!, 7 August 2003
Author: Michael from Gothenburg
Superb swedish minidrama!! The characters are absolutely great, specially Ola Norell (Hoffa), and of course Shanti Rooney, he´s always on the top. Directing is also great, his best work. One of the best TV-series in swedish history!! I´m very hopeful about the sequel (starts in september on SVT)
rate it +8/10

The best Nordic TV-series ever....., 30 June 2007

"Tusenbröder" is the first TV-series in many years that has made me sit on the edge of my sofa-seat and bite my fingernails because of the suspense. The great drama includes great Swedish actors like Ola Rapace (Steffan from the police-show "Wallander"), Shanti Roney (from "Hotet"), Danilo Bejarano, Anja Lundqvist, Magnus Krepper (from the miniseries "Bekännelsen") and Jacob Eklund (who plays a real criminal-psycho with the same control as Anthony Hopkins did in "The Silence of the Lambs") "Tusenbröder" is a 3 season TV-series (1 & 2 is 5 hour long, the third 3 hours and were also made as a 90 min. cinema-movie) who follows the life of Hoffa (Rapace) who work as an industrial painter together with his two best friends. When times get tough the three men decide to rob a bank, and from there the snowball run faster and faster until Hoffa a couple of years later is Swedens most wanted criminal and is suspected for the killing of three innocent people during a escape from prison. "Tusenbröder" is a fantastic great drama and is maybe the best of all the TV-series I've ever seen (I've got a collection of 2500 movies and TV-shows). The story was written by Lars Lundström and directed by Erik Leijonborg.

Great Swedish TV-series which does not focus on usual romantic love stories which a majority of Swedish films and TV-series does. Also good acting from the majority of the cast. The manuscript is also very good, and combines different types of genres.
Warning, can contain some story spoilers in this paragraph. I only have one minor complain about the TV-series, and that is, some of the decisions that Hoffa makes, seems very unrealistic. He seems too be too "aggressive" towards his father and brother. I think in his situation a normal person would have asked his own family for money if you owed this small amount of money to some bad criminals and had 2 "rich" family members as he had.
