  • MTV's TV series "Cribs" (2000), is a show that brings MTV's cameras into the homes of rock celebrities. Legend has it that one of the producers of Cribs was so impressed with the Osbourne family's eccentricities that they proposed a reality show around the family.

  • The Osbourne family received $20,000 per episode for the first season's 13-episode run. That figure is likely to skyrocket for the second season, which as of April, 2002 is being negotiated.

  • Ozzy and Sharon's oldest daughter, Aimee, chose not to appear on the program. She lives in a nearby apartment and is thought to be working on a singing career.

  • Sharon negotiated the family's contracts for the second season of "The Osbournes." Each family member will receive $5 million, for a total of a $20 million salary; MTV must also pay all expenses to build the family a new home, and pay for their dog's therapy bills.

  • Sharon had been planning the show for years, but networks didn't want it until the success of their episodes on MTV's "Cribs".

  • Even though Aimee Osbourne has declined numerous times to appear on the show, she does make a cameo on "The Osbournes - Season 2 Uncensored" DVD as one of the commentators on the last two shows on Disc 2, along with Sharon and Ozzy and can also be seen briefly during the wedding vow renewal.

  • Aimee Osbourne also makes a few "shadowy" appearances. In the background of a few episodes her face has been blurred out. Sharon notes her presence in several DVD commentaries.
