This marketing tool for Peter Jackson's wonderful "The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Rings" is an embarrassment . The behind-the-scenes footage is great... but the writing is pedestrian and the narrator is horrible. In fact, the narrator is so over-the-top Hollywood ham bone that I had to turn down the volume whenever his voice came on. On the other hand, the behind-the-scenes doc that appeared on the Sci-Fi channel was brilliant... wonderfully edited and (mercifully) produced without the use of a narrator. Take note, New Line... there are other legitimate documentary producers out there who would love to do this work and could make these shows something special.
