By now, Kate Middleton is a pro at looking happy and enthusiastic at every single event she attends, even when she probably would rather be at home in her pajamas watching The Crown. But her latest outing was probably a lot of fun for her, because it dealt with her major in college. The Duchess of Cambridge graduated St. Andrews University with a degree in art history, and on Thursday, she visited the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Kate, who stunned in a tweed dress, was on hand to open new areas of the art museum and to unveil a commemorative plaque in Sackler Courtyard. While Kate obviously made time to chat with those who helped bring the project, which is the museum's largest in the last 100 years, to life, she also chatted with an adorable little girl. After accepting a beautiful bouquet or flowers from the girl, they...

We’ve got questions, and you’ve (maybe) got answers! With another week of TV gone by, here are some queries we’re going to lob at you, from shows including Once Upon a Time, Game of Thrones, House, Ringer and Community!
1 | How wonderful was it to see Bobby again on Supernatural?
2 | Did Once Upon a Time magically nail it with the casting of Bailey Madison as a young Snow White/Ginnifer Goodwin, or is there some new CGI trick out there that we don’t know about?
3 | Who allowed a downright sunny daytime scene into The Killing‘s Season 2 premiere?...

The first live results show of The Voice Season Two has come! Making things more interesting than other singing reality competition shows, four contestants were eliminated in one night rather than one. The bottom three sang their hearts out, leaving the Team coaches with the final decision of which one contestant they would save. If this week’s elimination is any indication as to what we can expect in the coming weeks… we can expect the person we’d least expect to be the season two winner of The Voice. Shocking results is an understatement. Did anybody really win last night?
Before the bottom three results were read, Gym Class Heroes and a barely audible Team Adam came together to perform “Ass Back Home,” kicking off the first live show just right. If you haven’t seen Gym Class Heroes live, make it your mission this summer or fall. So,...

Now That is how you do a results show! The Voice's first live elimination episode was jam packed with performances and quick results, unlike anything I've seen on American Idol or The X Factor.
It was quick. It was to the point. It may have had on glaringly obvious mistake by America and the coaches, but I will take an entertaining hour over results that make me happy any day of the week and twice on Tuesdays.
After a quick recap of Monday night and a performance by Gym Class Heroes, we got right to the results. Three members of Team Blake and three from Team Xtina were voted through to the next round by America. Who were the lucky contestants?
Team Blake
Erin Willett, Jermaine Paul, and RaeLynn

Four people were sent packing from "The Voice" on Tuesday (April 3). While this would be heartbreak for many, each of the voted off contestants was calm and reflective in their post-show interviews.
Here's a quick recap of what each of the four eliminated singers had to say:
Naia Kete on her song choice not really matching with what she wanted to do: "You're given a list and you have to pick from it. And it is what it is. I don't have any bad feelings about that. I'm psyched that I was here...It's hard because you're given literally 15 minutes in rehearsal to work out an arrangement with the band...You just do what you can."
Charlotte Sometimes on her performance: "Ultimately I put my heart in that performance. But I wasn't singing to be saved, I was singing from a real place in my heart, because that way, whatever happened,...

This week marked the first live performances on the second season of "The Voice" and that also means the first eliminations. On Tuesday night, "The Voice" said goodbye to four contestants -- two from Team Blake and two from Team Christina.
America saved three contestants from both Blake Shelton's and Christina Aguilera's teams. Then, the bottom three on each team had the opportunity to sing one last time for their coaches to prove that they should be the one their coach would save from elimination. (For those familiar with "RuPaul's Drag Race," it was basically like lip-syncing for your life, but with actual singing.)
On Team Blake, America saved belter Erin Willett, Alicia Keys' former back-up singer Jermaine Paul and teen country crooner RaeLynn. Jersey girl Charlotte Sometimes, reggae singer Naia Kete and early fan favorite Jordis Unga were left to sing again. Host Carson Daly noted...

On "The Voice's" first-ever elimination episode, the format changed a little bit. Blake Shelton's team and Christina Aguilera's team both performed on Monday. By Tuesday, America had voted to save three out of the six contestants from each team.
The remaining three contestants from each team -- six in total -- performed in a last ditch attempt to remain in the show. Blake and Christina were each allowed to choose one team member to save, sending two people home from each team.
After getting used to "American Idol," sending four hopefuls home during a live show felt like that bloodbath at the beginning of the Hunger Games.
For Blake's team, voters aved Erin Willett, Jermaine Paul, and RaeLynn. Naia Kete, Charlotte Sometimes, and Jordis Unga all had to sing for their lives. Naia chose Beyonce's "If I Were A Boy," though she later revealed that she'd hoped to do a reggae song,...

America's votes were revealed in this season's first result show April 3. Was the right person sent home? It was an intense night on The Voice as Christina Aguilera and Blake Shelton each had to save one person from their team's bottom three, and the contestants that weren't saved by America had to sing for their lives -- and a spot in the top four. First up was Team Blake. The top six joined Blake during an interview for a country music radio show, where Blake announced they would all take part in an acoustic concert for fans as a treat. We also found out who America saved, and it was no surprise when Carson Daly announced that Erin Willet, Jermaine Paul, and Raelynn all were safe. Naia Kete sang Beyonce to keep herself in the competition, while Charlotte Sometimes let her emotions get the best of her during a performance of the overly done "Iris.

“It’s not tough, it’s sucky,” said Blake Shelton, discussing the first results show of The Voice‘s second season. And the same can be said for some of the decisions made by the voting public and the show’s mentors over the course of the hour-long telecast.

The best/worst part of the season is here: eliminations. Obviously, it sucks to see people go home, but it also means we're one step closer to picking the Voice. After witnessing Blake Shelton's and Christina Aguilera's teams perform last night, America had a 12-hour window to put in their votes. After performing one last time, one of them was saved by their coach. Jesse Campbell has topped the Digital Spy reader poll for The Voice's first live performance show. The 42-year-old gospel singer impressed voters with his performance of 'What a Wonderful World' during Monday night's broadcast, pulling in a whopping 18.4%. Similarly impressive were Lindsey Pavao, whose take on Gotye and Kimbra's 'Somebody That I Used to Know' pulled in 16.9% and Charlotte Sometimes, who brought in 15.4% with her energetic cover of Paramore's 'Misery Business'. Opera singer Chris Mann's version of 'Bridge Over Troubled Water' fared well enough, grabbing 10.0%. He came in just ahead of Jordis Unga, who performed Heart's 'Alone' for 8.0% of the vote. The first live show of The Voice season two finally arrived this week as Team Blake and Team Christina went head to head before the first live elimination. Not one, not two, but four contestants will be going home tonight. Based on last night’s performances alone, elimination predictions should be a breeze to match. But with this being the first live elimination, it is far too early to know how America has voted, especially with fans being able to vote by phone, NBC.com (and NBC apps), Facebook, and iTunes. What’s difficult about voting by iTunes is that a viewer may not necessarily be a fan of an artist but may absolutely fall in love with their rendition of a song, causing them to buy the track on iTunes. One vote can be the difference between staying in the competition and being voted out. Could those handful of...

Menacing mimes. Male strippers. Cee Lo Green in a slinky red jumpsuit with deep-plunging, lace-up neckline and a delicate ladywig. Carson Daly turning superlatives into bowls of lukewarm mush. The Voice doomed us to 12 performances last night (all from Teams Christina and Blake), and only two qualified for an A grade, if I'm being honest. And naturally, I am. Let's shred these amateurs up like the, er, amateurs they are. Weeee!
Jermaine Paul, "Livin' on a Prayer" D+
Bad news, entire world: I agreed with the legendarily wrong Christina Aguilera on this one. Tie me to a stone and flay me, thanks. "Livin' on a Prayer" is a crowd-pleasing, but meaningless karaoke screamer, and I had flashbacks of college bars and townie taverns and proprietors named Earl Bob when Jermaine Paul ripped into it. He's usually more soulful, or at least recognizable. Here he was... on pitch? Fine? Lost in the slippery-when-wetness? As Xtina noted, the man simply had no connection to Bon Jovi's bleat, and I lost his timbre and tone in the amped-up dreck. He can sing,...

Ah, the live auditions, when we can no longer blame the coadges for making ridiculous and unfair choices. Pressure's on us now, America.
There was a lot of build up about what "The Voice" coadges would be wearing during the first week of live performances since we'd seen them in the same attire -- Christina Aguilera's discus hat included-- for two weeks.
And though Christina disappointed us this time -- the pop songstresses ditched the bedazzled plate she called headgear and looks almost completely normal -- Cee Lo, however, was a completely different story. With a red, fringed jumpsuit, earring and bizarre wig, Cee Lo looked like he could out-ridiculous Will Ferrell in "Blades of Glory."

The battle between the teams has officially begun! Christina’s team took on Blake’s team April 2 for the first live showdown of the season. Cee Lo Green and Adam Levine's teams finally got to relax April 2, as they watched Christina Aguilera and Blake Shelton’s teams perform live. The night was filled with 12 different performances of which only a couple stood out -- for good and bad reasons. Team Blake's highlights included country cutie Raelynn, who brought a whole lot of spice and stage presence to her performance and seemed like a completely different person that we've previously seen. Christina was so surprised, she even asked if Raelynn was allowed to "grind her hips" the way she did at her tender age. And one of my favorites, Jessie Campbell closed the night with a powerhouse vocal that definitely showed who is the one to beat. Some lows for Team Blake were Naia Kete,...

The battle round concluded this week on The Voice with a mixture of both outstanding and lackluster performances. The funny thing is, the artists who did not necessarily stand out during the blind auditions made a mark this week while the artists more favored let their nerves get the best of them. The coaches had to make some very tough and more often than not, shocking decisions as a handful of artists you may have been rooting for did not step up to the plate. The last of the battle round artists all have potential but taking account only their performance in the ring and what that can bring to the live shows… well, the eliminations were rough! But was the pain worth it? So far, yes. Together, the coaches have put together the most diverse teams we have yet to see on the series. It looks like the live...

Battle Rounds of The Voice reached a high this week as the best of the best in this competition went head to head as well as the best of the best against the hopeless. What an intense battle. Last week was a breeze compared to this week. Live shows are going to wreck the phone lines this year. This talent is truly out of this world. If you’re not watching The Voice, catch up as soon as possible and thank us all later. This is where the entertainment is at!

Blake Shelton's singers Charlotte Sometimes and Lex Land battled it out for a place in the live stages of The Voice in last night's episode. The duo, who had been mentored by Kelly Clarkson and Miranda Lambert, performed 'Pumped Up Kicks' together in an attempt to make it through to the next part of the contest. Watch Charlotte and Lex's battle below: Christina Aguilera began the coaches' commentary and praised Lex's "sexy voice", but she added that Charlotte is "sassy" and "obviously very comfortable on the stage". Cee Lo Green explained that he liked Charlotte's "attitude" and said he would pick her, but Adam Levine revealed that he would choose Lex because she "opened up as the song progressed and got more confident". Blake Shelton (more)...

We’re in the heat of the battle rounds, which was on full display last night. There’s some fierce competition! It’s interesting to see how different battle pairings approach the battle round. Some people get super competitive, some people get inspired by each other and end up being really collaborative, and some people (like Sarah and Juliet) just seemed to have a great time. For the blog this week, I really wanted to try and focus on giving you guys more behind-the-scenes nuggets and a little more insight into what you don’t get to see on the show.

The Voice was a bittersweet joyride last night: I lost one of my favorite trillers, but we still have next week to see if my Queen-killing bald balladeer (bald-adeer?) Tony Vincent sails through. Also, some saucy, leggy ladies in fake-leather shorts survived. By default, that’s a triumph for the Lgbt community. Let’s grade the grudge matches!
Sera Hill vs. Geoff McBride, “Chain of Fools”
God, the battle rounds are so weird. And a little unsatisfying, frankly, since the strange tug-of-war between the two competing singers totally robs a song of its normal rhythms and intentions. Weirder yet are the contestant pairings, like the sultry, Estelle-cool Sera Hill and the howling soulman Geoff McBride, who joined forces on “Chain of Fools” for some reason. The argument on paper is the same as the one onstage: Sera has the smaller voice but brings the finger-wag choreography; Geoff has the raspy monster voice,...

There were so many impossible matchups on this week’s Voice “Battle Rounds,” with our four coaches selecting some of their most-promising acts for head-to-head vocal duels, that I half-wondered if other painful choices were imminent: Cut either crazy Cee Lo or his ridiculous fluffy cat. Pledge allegiance to Adam and his comfy sweater (somebody tell me they sell it at Target!) or Blake and his Hank Hill drawl. Join #TeamXtina’sLeftBreast or #TeamXtina’sRightBreast.
It didn’t have to be this way, of course. I mean, why did Blake have to pit Charlotte Sometimes against Lex Land just because both ladies have sultry-eerie voices?...

Though we were largely underwhelmed by last week's Battle Rounds on "The Voice," the second installment this week certainly made up for it. (Note: Speaking of making things up, henceforth, the judges/coaches will be referred to as coadges. It'll catch on.)
But Battle Rounds, Week 2 also brought two competitive duets that tore our hearts out because we loved both contestants so much. Who's moving on after adorable family band singer Whitney Myers and Chaka Khan doppleganger Kim Yarbrough took on some Mary J. Blige? And after the battle of the best friend hipsters, Jamar Rogers and Jamie Lono, who is popping PBRs and moving on to the live shows?
Read on to find out (and be prepared to be gut-wrenched)...

Granted, there was no Jesse Campbell vs. Anthony Evans showdown this week. But Part Two of The Voice's Battle Round was filled with a number of good performers taking each other on in the ring.
If there is any reason for concern at this point in the competition, it is definitely that the coaches don't have as much opportunity to shine during the Battle Rounds. There just isn't enough time for Blake to crack a million jokes, and for Adam to gloat about winning season one when there is all this talent to showcase on stage. Let's take a look at said talent in this week's Battle Round...

Review: The Voice - Battle Round #2
The question coming in to tonight's Voice was whether the battles could possibly match the quality of last week's showdowns. The answer: not so much. But that doesn't mean there wasn't plenty to talk about.
The night started off with Team Cleavage (Team Christina) choosing 51 year-old Geoff McBride to face off against hotel receptionist Sera Hill. These were two really powerful voices, but Geoff thought he might have an advantage given that the song Christina chose, Aretha Franklin's Chain of Fools is almost as old as he is.
Geoff is paired with Lionel Richie, again because he's like totally old, and the moment he starts singing Richie flees in panic while flapping his arms around like some kind of extinct bird. Lionel then shows us how much he's actually been paying attention to the show by asking Geoff to remove his sunglasses when...

"The Voice" is into its second week of Battle Rounds, and we're pretty sure that Charlotte Sometimes and Lex Land's performance of "Pumped Up Kicks" will remain our favorite throughout the competition. Blake Shelton chose these two singers to go up against each other because while their tones are similar, their personalities could not be more different.
"Charlotte has this very boisterous over the top personality, very funny, whereas Lex is a little more introverted. If Lex doesn't come out of her shell in this competition, Charlotte's going to eat her alive," Blake said. He was also concerned that with Lex's beautiful voice, he'd feel that Charlotte would just end up being a distraction.
"Lex should totally watch out. You can't really win against a Jersey girl," Charlotte said. She did recognize, though, that her over-the-top personality could work against her because of Lex's sweet, unobtrusive way. "I hope that...

Last week on "The Voice," the battle rounds began and Monday night (March 12), they continued with a bang as judges Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, Cee Lo Green and Blake Shelton chose six more hopefuls to continue on to the live shows ... and sent six others home.

First up was Team Xtina and two of her most soulful vocalists, hotel clerk Sera Hill and 51-year-old Geoff McBride. Gathered around the piano, the pair wowed Xtina with their powerhouse voices and the coach seemed in her element working with two seasoned vocalists.

Week one of battle rounds may be over, but that doesn’t mean that the remaining artists left on NBC’s The Voice can rest easy. In fact, the pressure is higher than ever, and three of this season’s contestants dropped by EW to talk about just that.
Charlotte Sometimes (Team Blake), Jermaine Paul (Team Blake) and Tony Vincent (Team Cee Lo) — all New York locals — swung by the EW office last week to answer some of the more pressing questions we had (that host Carson Daly doesn’t already answer for us!). How does it feel to be a Twitter trending topic?...

The coaches completed their teams of twelve last night in the battle round of The Voice Season Two and what a completion it was. One vocalist was lucky enough sing a brief duet with her coach! Viewers were hoping for the unexpected this season and they got it early on. The last remaining coach to round out their team was very happy indeed while finding her last team member. Sera Hill is very talented… but she also sang one of Christina’s favorite jams, “I’m Going Down” and it put her in one extremely rare moment. When Christina Aguilera grabbed the mic and sang with Hill, everyone was taken aback. People pay big money to see Aguilera sing, but sometimes when you want to get down with the music, you just want to get down. Thank you Christina for letting us see you letting your hair down. It was quite a moment.

The blind auditions came to an end Monday night on The Voice as each coach - Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and Cee Lo Green - finalized his and her team, landing 12 contestants each. First, though, came the shock of turning around and seeing Cameron Novack (aka Novacaine), who didn't make it on to anyone's team. He sang, (kind of) rapped and even beat-boxed a bit to Alanis Morissette's "You Oughta Know." "I did not expect you to look that way," Levine said. "How are you not a woman?" Fortunately, most of the other singers had better luck.

Round 5 of "The Voice's" blind auditions was all about filling the teams for the judges. And while that did mean a much-appreciated decrease in sob stories and excessive praise for supportive parents (We love you, too, Mom and Dad), it also meant that the contestants were not quite as entertaining as those that we've seen in the past four rounds of blind auditions. Also, unlike Season 1, "The Voice" said no to second chances and no hopefuls were allowed to audition again.
Nonetheless, we are definitely ready to move onto the battle rounds, if for no other reason than to allow the judges to have a change of clothes for the first time in more than a month.
Chelsey: "Final round of blindness begins! A.K.A. The longest day Ever for the judges apparently."
Jaimie: "Finally! I am so over Christina's plasticy chest, draped in chains."
Chelsey: "Definitely ready to move on.

That was fun. After four weeks, five episodes and nine hours, The Voice has completed its season two Blind Auditions, and it was certainly a pleasant change from the bore fest that has become of other singing competitions.
Each coach rounded out his/her respective team, but Blake Shelton did it with the most style this week. Whether it was a joke about murdering Christina, or one about wanting Adam Levine in a sexual way, the country star had me laughing out loud on a number of occasions.
Check out our The Voice quotes page for all of Blake and the others' quips from the Blind Auditions.
Now let's take a look at the four teams, and who they added in the final round. We will start with the defending champion, who also had the best success rate when hitting his button this season.

The Voice contestant Charlotte Sometimes has said that being on the show has reminded her why she loves to be an artist. The singer told reporters on a conference call that she had been working more as a songwriter in the music industry, but her experience on the NBC show had reminded her why she loved performing.

This week on The Voice, the coaches prepared to round out their teams of twelve in preparation for the big battle to come. Artists made decisions that they had not initially intended to make when joining teams and coaches made decisions that were very similar to their choices in season one… all while raising the bar. It came down to the wire and the coaches were passing on some fierce talent if they weren’t completely blown away or willing to help craft an artist in time for the big win. This week’s talent may have in fact shown us some of the best this season.

They can’t all be winners. That old adage applies to the dozens of vocalists who’ve already appeared on The Voice‘s second season, but it’s also a fitting way to describe Monday night’s ho-hum episode.
Of the 14 contestants we saw advancing to the Battle Rounds, only two or three sounded like legitimate contenders to assume Javier Colon’s throne. But perhaps even more distressing, after four audition episodes, the show’s editors have settled into a predictable rhythm that makes it all too easy to divert some of your attention to folding laundry or sorting mail...

As told to Marc Snetiker:
This was a tricky episode. It was halftime before last night’s episode started to air. The coaches came out in the third quarter, and slots are really starting to fill up, and last night was a good example of the coaches being their pickiest. And when they’re their most picky, you start to see some good people get away… or you see them pick some people who they otherwise maybe would have liked to have not picked. Their judgment comes in question when they get really, really picky.
