Same BBC quality but could be on the decline.

Once again, the BBC used their initiative and provided viewers with an early evening news programme, which compliments the 1 o'clock and the 10 o'clock (formally 9 o'clock) programmes.

Where I work, BBC One is not available, however they do have Sky News on so all the time so that means the news is available whenever I have my break or whatever time I work too. Okay it's very rare I would still be there at 6:00 PM, but you get my point.

I'm sure I am not the only person in this situation and with specific news channels, including the BBC's own channel News 24, the end of such news shows like the ones at 1 o'clock, 6 o'clock and 10 o'clock could be axed.

Do bear in mind such news programmes were devised before there were 24 hour news channels.

It would be a shame to see such programmes axed as they have been around for some time, but that's progress for you.
