- Continuity: When the two Serbian soldiers shortly leave the trench and Ciki has a possibility to get his rifle in the shelter, he is seen to do a loading movement, cycling the first round in the chamber. This means he would have inspected the trench before with a not-ready-to-fire gun, making no sense at all.
- Factual errors: Nino is hit with a rifle round from less than 10 meters distance in the lower abdomen. There is no exit wound on his back, and he seems - apart from pain - unhurt, can walk etc. While a round from an assault rifle in the lower abdomen may not kill instantly, it exits on the back, leaving great damage to the internal organs and probably the spine too, so that walking would not have been possible.
- Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): When the bomb disposal expert is examining the mine, his visor is up and so offering no protection.
- Continuity: After Ciki shoots Nino and the old soldier, he loads the other of the together taped magazines in the rifle and makes a loading movement, thus cycling the first round in the chamber. A bit later, in the "who started the war scene" in the bunker, Ciki shouts "who started the war?" and makes another loading movement, which would cause the first round to be ejected (unspent) from the rifle. Yet no round is ejected.
>>> WARNING: Here Be Spoilers <<<
Goofs below here contain information that may give away important plot points. You may not want to read any further if you've not already seen this title.
- Factual errors: SPOILER: When they are putting the (believed to be) dead soldier on the mine, the old soldier tells Nino: "Make it easy, make it easy, or you blow us up". Once the body is on the mine, he tells him to pull the cord from the mine. Either the mine is save without pulling the cord, and they don't need to care about putting the body, or the mine is ready, and pulling the cord afterwards would be useless.
