Has the most complex character in a computer game. The player controls a god-like character that trains an artificially intelligent giant creature. During the course of a game, the creature learns from the player and develops its own distinct personality. The size of the creature's mind increases from 6 - 7 KB up to 500 KB. This is the first time a computer game character has been programmed with such empathic learning capabilities.
The first in-game creature still exists in the game, as the Ogre.
The Horned Demon from an earlier game, Dungeon Keeper, was used as an example of how large a Creature would be, in relation to the mortal cities. Some people saw these pictures, and believed that Black & White was simply a cover name for a new Dungeon Keeper game.
In Land 1 when the ship starts sailing (from completing a challenge), you can see a man and a woman standing at the front of the boat, doing the famous "flying" pose, known from the movie Titanic.
