I remember when I first got acquainted with the Sims over ten years ago. As I watched my friend control those fascinating human-like creatures and build and decorate houses for them, I was intrigued in a way I had never been before. That is to say, I have to admit I was immediately hooked for life.
The Sims has something for everyone, which I believe is one of the biggest reasons for its well deserved success. It has humor, drama, romance, challenge and endless possibilities of letting one's creative juices flow. Even after all these years it's still hard to find a game that manages to be as versatile and exciting, one of the main characteristics of the Sims being the fact that it can be played for as long as one likes. The game doesn't have an ending, at least not in the way video games usually do, which enables the player to develop the story of the characters almost endlessly.
The impact that the Sims has had on my life makes it appear as more than just a game, considering how much I've learned by playing it. It has improved my logic, expanded my imagination and even perfected my aesthetic eye. I recommend it to anyone who graves for an entertaining and thrilling gaming experience.
The Sims is the prototype of a great video game, which definitely makes it worth the whole 10 out of 10 in rating.
