An interesting short that ultimately wastes its potential.

A young man, bored with his monotonous daily routine (which includes being pushed around at school by jocks and holding a loaded gun to his head), joins an organised group of rebels (led by a cable-TV repairman) who abduct teenagers who have become complacent with their mundane existences.

A well acted and imaginatively constructed tale (there are some nice stylish touches employed in both the visuals and the editing), The Principles of Karma is fun to watch while it lasts, but doesn't really go anywhere interesting with its unique premise. The result is an ultimately hollow effort that ends far too abruptly, and left me wondering how such an intriguing set-up could be abandoned so easily.
