The writer/translator Arvid Brenner, born Fritz Helge Heerberger, in Berlin 1907, was the son of the German engineer Wilhelm Heerberger and the Swedish author Eugenie Beskow-Heerberger, who was the sister of the psalmist and pacifist Natanael Beskow. Arvid Brenner studied in Germany and Sweden and settled in Sweden after the Nazi party's (NSDAP) takeover of power in Germany in 1933.
