You’ve probably meditated to John Lennon’s music before, but now you can officially do it on the app Lumenate.
Lennon’s estate partnered with the company to deliver nine meditation mixes of “Mind Games,” the title track to his 1973 record. The song’s mixes are slowed down and extended — with four focusing on the brain waves Beta, Delta, Gamma, and Theta — that work with the app’s frequencies to drive listeners deeper into consciousness.
In addition, the nine mixes are paired with the phone’s flashlight to create a trippy psychedelic experience.

Elton John and John Lennon formed a strong friendship during the early 1970s. While Lennon was in his “Lost Weekend” era, he met with the “Tiny Dancer” to collaborate on some music together. “One Day (At a Time)” was originally released by John Lennon on his 1973 album Mind Games. The track features a rare falsetto lead vocal performance by Lennon, which he says was the idea of Yoko Ono.
“Well, that’s just a concept of life, you know. How to live life,” Lennon told Playboy in 1980. “It was Yoko’s idea for me to sing it all falsetto.”
Another version was released in the 1998 John Lennon Anthology without the falsetto. It...

Between 1973 and 1975, John Lennon and Yoko Ono separated for a period he later called his “Lost Weekend.” During this time, he dated his assistant, May Pang, and the pair moved to Los Angeles together. The two had a loving relationship, so Pang was upset when John Lennon referred to it as his “Lost Weekend.” According to Pang, the former Beatle did apologize for calling their relationship this.

Pang started working at Apple Corps., the company founded by The Beatles, at the age of 19, and she shortly became the assistant to Lennon and Ono. The couple started having marital problems in 1973, and Ono approached Pang asking her if she could start a relationship with Lennon. Pang repeatedly said no, but Ono was adamant about orchestrating everything.
