The best-reviewed movies of the decade on Metacritic and Rotten Tomatoes are Pan’s Labyrinth and Man on Wire, respectively. On Metacritic, two Oscar-winning animated films make the top five: Pixar’s Ratatouille and Miyazaki’s Spirited Away. Only two of the top-grossing movies of the decade appear in the top 100: Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (best-reviewed of all best picture winners of the decade) and The Two Towers.
