Edgar Jones berates his wife, Clara Williams, for her poor housekeeping. She snaps and flees, but when she and the man who accompanies her are attacked by Indians, will her husband be able to rescue her?

This short Lubin western film is shot and edited in a straightforward fashion -- while watching it, it occurred to me a brisker pace of cutting between the fight and Mr. Jones might make a more exciting film, particularly if the transitions were made while gun smoke obscures the action. Lubin, however, was a very conservative company when it came to story techniques, relying on their excellent photography and the acting ability of their casts. Certainly Miss Williams is very good; her role in "The Italian" in a few years would make her a star for the remainder of her brief life.

If you wish to see this film, a good copy of it is on view at the Eye Institute site on YouTube.
