Trivia:
Tick's shoes would constantly change from a sleek pair of sculpted Tick feet for close-ups, to thicker versions with sneaker bottoms, to huge blue platforms, to increase Warburton's apparent height. moreGoofs:
Continuity: In the episode "Arthur Interrupted", a can of drain cleaner held by The Tick moves from his left hand to his right hand and back again between shots. moreQuotes:
Captain Liberty: Personality? He's a dog. He sits, he rolls over, he plays dead. How much?Randolph: Well, I don't think I'm going to be able to help you, ma'am. Why don't you go rent a video tape or something instead of ruining some poor puppy's life with your single-woman-hormone clock-is-ticking impulse-buying nonsense.
Captain Liberty: Just sell me the damned dog!
Randolph: She's not for sale! Not to you. What you need is a singles chat room, ma'am, not some living creature.
[pauses]
Randolph: Good day.

I'm really enjoying this show. Seeing how it is live-action though, it can't go all out in the bizarre the way the animated series easily could. So they seem to be concentrating on more down-to-earth storylines, if that's possible in a show like this, making it a kind of "Seinfeld" with superheros. So far it has been keeping me laughing with its stories of hero-sidekick relations and more adult humor. Patrick Warburton is excellent in the title role. He's bound to shout out "SPOON!" sooner or later, so don't worry about that. The show is very funny and clever, and I'm really hoping it doesn't get abused like the cartoon did, or worse, get axed too early.
