Sex & Nudity

  • Sexual relations and infidelity play a major role in the plot lines. There are occasional very short scenes of male-female and female-female sex with visible thrusting. Actual nudity, of men's butts only, occurs in only a couple of episodes. Partially revealing clothing is seen occasionally. Sexual dialogue occurs regularly; fairly often, it is vulgar.

Violence & Gore

  • Violence is infrequent but includes an attempted murder and threats to kill. A couple of mild beatings occur offscreen, we only see bruises and very minor blood. There are several scuffles.

Profanity

  • Frequent but mostly mild, for example, "sod off!" Stronger language such as "f*ck" is heard less than once per episode. No racial slurs. Terms such as "bitch" and "slut" and "piss off" are more frequent.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Drinking is shown in social occasions, at dinner, parties, and at bars. Several characters are occasionally shown drunk to the point of being incoherent or unable to drive.
  • A couple of characters smoke cigarettes regularly. One is a chain smoker. Occasionally characters that don't regularly smoke are shown doing so in response to stress. Stronger drug use isn't shown or implied.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Several of the relationship confrontations go beyond the comical to become intense. Characters are shown suffering emotional distress. The apparent death of one character, and the actual death of another, may be stressful.
