The Beach it's a brief experimental Canadian animation of very ambiguous meaning, which I guess must be the reason of the relatively low rating.
I myself have no idea of what's the message here, or if there is any message hear at all, but I found it to be something quite captivating to watch, with a rather mesmerizing, almost dream-like use of imagery.
Even if it is only a mere excersise of "style over substance" it's still something quite captivating to behold, worth of several rewatches.
