The roster of gorgeous women in this film makes up for the so-so plot. Amber Newman, unfortunately, plays a small role and I wished for more of her. Jenna Bodnar and Zoe Paul are great, as usual This film is available through amazon.com.

Great cast of women, but a mediocre plot....I give it a B.

"Ancient Desires" has a great female cast, but the storylines are less than spectacular. Read on, there's more.
An college professor and part time "tomb raider" (played by Dugan Hayes) sets off to the Middle East in search of a mummy with special powers. He finds the mummy....but she's STILL ALIVE!!! Jenna Bodnar (you may not remember her name, but think of the girl in the opening scenes of "Pleasure World." Yup, that's her.) is the mummy, and what is her special power, you ask?
She can only stay alive by having sex. It didn't take a genius to come up with that plot.
By having sex with as many people as possible, she continues to grow in power. The victim, however, gets his sexual side stripped from his intellectual one.....a clone, if you will. Two of the same. One has the brains, and the other just wants to get laid. The sexual duplicate becomes the mummy's slave, and is usually ordered to kill his intellectual counterpart.
Amber Newman, Gabriella Hall, the aforementioned Bodnar, the British B-movie princess Zoe Paul, and red-headed vixen Regina Russell all get naked in this flick, but it doesn't do any wonders for the plot. It's just a vehicle to link the sex scenes together. While that may be just fine and dandy for a regular porno flick, I'd like to see at least SOME cohesion in a movie that's supposed to be a couple of notches above that in quality.
It seems that I'm coming down hard on "Ancient Desires", but the grade in the "Women" category help it out greatly, as well as high marks in the "Sex" category. An interesting movie overall....just needed a bit more in the story department. A solid B.
