I saw an episode with a young Jonathan Taylor Thomas voicing Spot. The show is not that bad, though it's not great, either. One good thing is that the animation is close to what I've seen of the books.3/5 stars --
My favourite show when I was a toddler, 24 December 2009 Author: TheLittleSongbird from United Kingdom
The Adventures of Spot was my favourite show when I was a toddler. Every time the theme tune started I used to start jumping about to it. Revisiting it again at 17, what did I think.Well, I still have a soft spot for it. Sure some of the episodes are a tad slow, but the animation is wonderful and colourful and is true to the style of the books by Eric Hill. The theme tune is great, and the narration by Paul Nicolas is superb. I don't really have a favourite episode or a favourite character, but I do think Spot is really cute and out of his friends I seem to remember liking Steve the most, I just loved his cheekiness. All in all, a perfect show for toddlers. They will definitely love it. 9/10 Bethany Cox

When I was younger I used to adore this dog. With his yellow fur with brown spots and a nice narrator telling the stories and providing the voices this was a pleasant childhood programme. One of my favourite episodes was the one where Spot's Mum was looking for Spot to finish his dog food dinner. I actually used to have the book version of it as well as the actual episode. Everywhere his Mum looked she found an unusual animal, e.g. lions, bears, snakes, tortoises and many other fun or amusing characters. The bear eating the honey always made me giggle. Also, the other part that was a favourite of mine was the cheerful introductory song. "If there ever was a pup to cheer you up it's Spot, Spot, Spot!"
Great cartoon, 8 March 2000 Author: RAMChYLD from Klang, Malaysia
This cartoon is great! The music is pleasant, the colors are bright and lively, and the storyline is excellent, though a bit slow (what do you expect? It is targeted for toddlers!). Also, there are little, if any, scary parts in the story (again, suitable for young children who are easily scared). And Spot's voice (portrayed by Paul Nicholas) is charming and soothing. Overall, I give it 2 thumbs up!
