Deacon Phillippe is ready for the spotlight! The 18-year-old son of Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe makes his acting debut in season three of "Never Have I Ever," which hit Netflix on Aug. 12. In the series, Deacon plays a new character named Parker, a member of a rival debate team from a private school and friend of Nirdesh, aka Des (Anirudh Pisharody) - Devi's (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan) new love interest.

Freeform has reportedly begun development of "After," a drama series based on Rhiannon Thomas' 2015 debut novel "A Wicked Thing".
The story is effectively a "Sleeping Beauty" sequel in which Princess Aurora wakes up to the kiss of a handsome prince one hundred years after falling asleep to find her family long dead and her kingdom taken from her. She must transform into a warrior to regain it.
Tom Lynch ("South of Nowhere, "Caitlin's Way") will co-write with Adam Lash and Cori Uchida. Lynch and Robin Schwartz will executive produce.

The Naked Brothers Band made sweet music for Nickelodeon in its premiere.
The new mockumentary comedy series, which centers on a world-famous adolescent rock group, debuted with two back-to-back episodes from 8:30-9:30 p.m. Saturday, with the first episode averaging 3.5 million total viewers and the second episode averaging 3.8 million.
At 8:30 p.m., the show drew 1.9 million kids 6-11, 2.4 million kids 2-11 and 1.3 million tweens 9-14. The 9 p.m. episode fared even better, garnering 2 million kids 6-11 -- Nickelodeon's highest series premiere in that demo since Caitlin's Way in 2000 -- up 68% compared with last year's airing of All That. It also drew 2.5 million kids 2-11 (up 62%) and 1.5 million tweens 9-14 (up 57%).
Nickelodeon added that Naked Brothers performed well on several platforms before its premiere, with single Crazy Car receiving almost 25,000 downloads on iTunes in two weeks. In addition, on Nick.com's broadband video player TurboNick, Naked Brothers generated almost 15 million streams from Jan. 1-Feb. 4.
