In Rhodan's workshop there are some sculptures made by staff at Perfect Entertainment, including the bust of Rhodan himself, an Elven Queen from the 2nd Discworld Game, and a single large Pythonesque foot. Most obscurely there is a statue of postal pioneer Thomas Fletcher Waghorn which replicates the real world statue that stands in Chatham, Kent, hometown of one of the artists on the project.
When Malachite is first encountered here, he is sitting in the position of Rodin's 'The Thinker' something that was difficult to carry off considering Malachites ungainly body structure and his unfeasibly long forearms.
Rob Brydon, Kate Robbins and Robert Llewellyn later appeared in Mirrormask (2005), which was written by Neil Gaiman, Terry Pratchett's friend and co-writer of the novel 'Good Omens'.
This game features fewer items to pick up and use than the previous two games, instead the gameplay relies more on a notebook in which names and leads are entered and the player clicks on them to ask people about them.
This game features more original characters than the previous two games, including the main character, Lewton. The characters in this game who come from Terry Pratchett's Discworld books are Nobby Nobbs, Samuel Vimes, Death, Lord Vetinari, Leonard da Quirm, Detritus, Captain Jenkins and Gaspode. Like the previous two games, Pratchett did not write the script.
Voice actors Rob Brydon and Kate Robbins return for a third time after Discworld (1995) and Discworld II: Mortality Bytes! (1996). This is also the third time that Brydon voices Death and Lord Vetinari, the Patrician of Ankh-Morpork. Nigel Planer also returns to the voice cast after the previous game.
