An interesting idea that doesn't seem to go much of anywhere

GREY is a film about the dull and meaningless life lived by a man living in a blue-gray world. Again and again, he goes through the same routine and much of the film is spent following him during his daily routine. However, out of the blue, he sees an identical self and then loses him in the crowd. Later, when he once again catches a glimpse, he tries very hard to establish contact and figure out what's happening. Then, out of the blue, comes the surprise ending.

This film seemed to have a basic idea and that was all. Okay, so the guy's life is pretty sad and dull when out of the blue he sees himself...fine. But then what happens doesn't seem so important in the story--or at least it felt that way to me since the ultimate meeting of the two identical men was so anticlimactic to me. Perhaps some will like the way it's all wrapped up--I just felt the payoff wasn't there for the time spent watching the film--even though it was only a very short one.
