Perhaps unsurprisingly, considering its subject matter, the underlying comedy series' story and characters could also work as a dark drama series, not unlike the other comedy series set in Northern Ireland, "Derry Girls".
This series is primarily produced and broadcast by BBC Northern Ireland, for the Northern Ireland audience, as a "regional" comedy show, not unlike BBC Scotland, and BBC Wales.
