The choice of DVD titles in HMV Grafton Street is really bad. Full of cheap obvious titles with nothing out of the ordinary. DVD review.
Three East End sisters in the late '60s get entangled with a local crime firm, an American student and the psychedelic scene.
I couldn't describe Honest as a waste of talent as there wasn't any. Unlike most bad movies this one is difficult to sit through. Firstly the most attractive of the three girls is rarely present (except when she gets topless and busy with a biker). Secondly, the movie is so badly directed that it becomes unwatchable. Thirdly, the story is trite and derivative. Most of the ideas are so obvious that even casual movie-goers will spot the references: the blond-haired photographer (David Hemmings from Blow-Up), the cockney well-dressed gangsters (The Krays), the fountain-scene (La Dolce Vita), the American student (a lot of Brit movies from the 60s cast Amercians as they were financed by US producers). The only interesting character was the girls' father.
The movie was a waste of 10. Honest!
