• Like many Lucasfilm and Lucasarts computer games, this one contains many "Star Wars" references: Miranda tells Ben "Help me, Ben! You're my only hope!" A close-up of Emmet's arm shows an Imperial emblem tattoo. One of the Rottwheelers has a Rebel Alliance emblem tattooed on his forehead.
  
  
• Some of the Vultures are named Razor, Wendy, and Sid - all names of characters in Lucasarts' Maniac Mansion (1987) (VG).
  
  
• The sound effects used for Ben's bike were a combination of a lion roar, a Bengal tiger growling and a jet engine whistle.
  
  
• The Cavefish bikes sound effects were a combination of bees buzzing in a jar, a Formula 1 engine, a dental drill, and a stressed steel concrete saw.
  
  
• The Corley hovercraft sound effects were a combination of a wah-wah pedal, a dust-buster, a hairdryer, and an X-Wing in flight from Star Wars (1977).

• According to Tim Schafer, Full Throttle originally would have featured a sequence where Ben undergoes a peyote-induced hallucinogenic trip. This was eventually ejected from the game, because the developers couldn't get it to "work out" with the publishing. The concept eventually became the basis of "Psychonauts".
