an excellent show which gripped its audience from start to finish. A show that will last in people's minds for a long time.

Warning: Spoilers
This was a really well-made tv show, produced by tv companies in england and in australia, with 3 episodes each filmed in each country. I haven't seen it for years but I remember it well.

SPOILERS - It was about police witness protection. The father found something out about a drugs scandal, and the police rename and relocate them etc and its about their life, how it changes and so on. Also the drugs people then find out where they are etc and plan to track them down and kidnap the children. They move to Australia because it would be safer, and settle down to a new life. The daughter though has a boyfriend which is the main drugs man's son an when she sends him a postcard from sydney (even though shes not allowed) they fly over there and track them down. They kidnap the children in a very unconvincing way, but then they escape etc, ending in a dramatic climax on an old barn roof.

Thats basically what I remember anyway! It produced a lot of tension at points, and had a great plot. I think its based on a book too. The theme tune was great and stuck in your head forever (well not forever because I've forgotten it now, but i remember it was good. and that is what counts...!)

I don't know if this is showing it anywhere, or if its released anywhere on a format, but if it is, watch it.

award winning series

This 6 part series adapted by Tim O'Mara and Al Hunter Ashton was an award winning children's drama for BBC 1 in the UK that changed the face of children's drama and set the bar at a new height for all future film makers. The tension and fear it created without any violence on show or a gun in shot was unheralded in TV drama. It was ground breaking drama in its time and to be honest the BBC has never been able to create anything like it since. The drama deals joins a family about to be taken in protective custody. What makes this drama very different is that the drama starts at its most intense as the police arrive to take the two sisters into hiding in the middle of the night. The eldest sister then part narrates the story which gives it another edge and a very personal perspective that reaches out and touches every viewer. This series won a BAFTA nomination and best drama from the RTS.

Started off great
MovieKing-421 May 1999
It may have only lasted for 6 episodes but it was a great series. It was mysterious and I very Intrigued as to what will happen to the family, and as to why they were running.

I just hope they make a second series it was great.

An 8 Out of 10.
