Gerard Damiano's later work has never generated much interest compared to his early ground-breaking films (Deep Throat, Devin in Miss Jones, etc.) but this video release is worth watching.
It's a beguiling fantasy in which two mustachioed studs (Frank James and Sebastian Logan) wake up not knowing where they are and have picaresque sexual adventures while debating their philosophies of love. It's a far, far distance from the fabulous adult fantasy worlds created nearly a century ago by writer James Branch Cabell (most famous for his '20s novel "Jurgen", subject of a landmark obscenity case. But Damiano surprisingly is quite advanced in his arguments here regarding romantic love vs. just hedonistic sex, and the ongoing issue some 30 years later in pornography's slide toward the latter form of content.
Acting is generally good, with the exception of hambone William Margold as a cult leader who joins in the orgies but noticeably has to force-fit his always limp cock into the ladies. His making faces to express passion is very difficult to watch.
Sort of a thinking man's porn video, the ill-titled "Future Sodom" (it's not science fiction but in fact fantasy) deserves some serious attention.
