A relic of all times
jfpp202014 December 2019
From I watched it for first time (Janurat 15, 1995) with regular frequently I watch it, I like INXS from 1993 and this conccert it the pinnacle of the band.

Thank God, I can watch it now on Blu-ray version, I watched from VHS, LD to DVD.

The restoration for 4K is awsome, well color red is a bit high, I hope, that fix it before to Blu-ray release, if not I will fix by myself.

I think in a distant future, when the holograms 3D will be commun, sure this concert will be release in that format.

Best front man ever

This is one of the greatest shows ever. Michael Hutchence was at his best, his voice and performance were perfect. He transformed a huge concert to an intimate gig, something that only he was able to do.

Purely FANTASTIC- This needs to be released on Region 1 DVD !
topsail3322 November 2002
This live concert of INXS in their prime is phenomenal ! 72000+ fans jammed into Wembley stadium for a celebration of how good INXS became.

My summary line "Purely FANTASTIC- This needs to be released on Region 1 DVD " was in hopes of getting Universal Studio's attention. They released this show on VHS and also only on Region 4 DVD (which is for Australia). It won't play in any Region 1 (USA/Mexico) DVD player. This is a crime and another example of the short-sightedness of record/video companies. Their marketing geniuses missed INXS by a mile! I first saw them in 1983 on MTV (Don't Change) and liked them instantly. Now it's almost 20 years later, AND I STILL CAN'T SEE THEM! I have a VHS copy, but it's not the same as DVD... Are you listening Universal? I'd pay $20-30 for a legal copy of this; but instead, I will be forced to find a bootleg copy that's reformatted for USA region 1...Knuckleheads.

Anyway, back to the show:

Michael Hutchence leads INXS into many familiar songs like "New Sensation" that gets the crowd jamming and bobbing up and down in a giant wave of humanity - it's quite a sight and sound!

"The One Thing", "Suicide Blonde", "The Stairs", and "By My Side" are flawless.

This is the absoulute must-have show for INXS fans. Forget the video "Great Video Experience" at least don't get it without getting this one first.

Of course the irony of all of this is the title "Live Baby Live" (live as in you're alive, not live as in live from new york)...

Michael is still sorely missed by fans around the world, even 5 years after his suicide.

One of the very best live performances by a band I've seen, and one of the top 3 best live performances of INXS I've seen if not the best!

The Greatest Ever Wembley Concert?
junxs4 April 2001
This concert was performed out to 80,000 screaming fans at Londons Wembley stadium. INXS after two massive albums Kick and X (and an impressive back catalogue) in the UK finally decided on a stadium show. This video captures INXS at their best and shows the world why they are rumoured to be one of the greatest live acts of all time. With songs such as Suicide Blonde, Mystify, Need You Tonight, Never Tear Us Apart and Disappear INXS show that stadium rock is their speciality. I have watched this Video over and over, i only wish it tracks from welcome to wherever you are were also featured in this release but of course that album wasnt released until a year after this concert. I hope one day this could be released on DVD (or any item of INXS for that matter on DVD). 10/10.

Peak INXS
allmoviesfan10 August 2023
This is it. A time capsule of the moment that INXS, the boys from Sydney, were at the top of the world, when thousands upon thousands crammed into what was then considered the pinnacle of venues - if you played Wembley, you were hot stuff - in the aftermath of the release of X, which is my favourite INXS album.

Whoever made the decision to film the concert is a genius, as we will never see INXS better than they are in Live Baby Live.

Right from the second Jon Farriss takes a set behind his drum kit, flashes a peace sign and launches the band into "Guns in the Sky", Hutchence, the brothers Farriss, Kirk Pengilly and Gary Garry Beers set about reminding us why the band was so revered. Hutchense's stage presence and magnetism is hard to ignore.

The songs are epic. The crowd is epic. The entire thing is epic.

Dang, I wish I'd been there.

Classic concert. Godlike.

This concert is up there with Queen live at Wembley. INXS at the height of their fame and stage craft right here. The crowd is so amped! Oh what I would have given to attend. So I'll have to make do with cranking up the volume on my big ass tv instead and watching one of Australia's greatest bands just cut sick on stage. If you can't enjoy this concert you just don't like rock n roll.

MH and the boys play their respective socks off. Flawless performance and the crowd can't get enough. INXS at their best! Watching 73k people jumping as one looks fantastic and the energy is captured from the16 cameras. Can't wait for the 4k release!
