• Continuity: A boy's helmet gets knocked off twice during an argument on the field.
  
  
• Errors in geography: Characters often discuss going to "Sluggers" (a sports bar) and refer to it as being "on the corner of Clark and Addison". "Sluggers" is a real sports bar and several scenes from the film were shot there, however it is not on the corner of Clark and Addison - another famous sports bar, "The Cubby Bear", is the only bar on that corner. "Sluggers" (3540 N. Clark Street) is actually a full block from the intersection of Clark and Addison and is located at the intersection of Clark and Eddy.
  
  
• Continuity: In the overhead shot before the championship game, both base lines are painted on the field. The next view shows a man painting the third base line.
  
  

• Continuity: Conor leaves a mid-day practice with the team to attend a Cubs game which reportedly begins in an hour. When they arrive, it is obviously a night game.
  
  
• Errors in geography: The trip to the Chicago Cubs baseball game was obviously filmed at Detroit's Tiger Stadium, not Chicago's Wrigley Field. The orange logo of the Detroit Tigers is even briefly visible on the seats.
  
  
• Continuity: Duffy comes out of his bar with a towel on his shoulder, which he throws at Conor before punching him... when Connor falls to the floor, no towel is in sight.
  
  
• Continuity: When Conor first practices with the kids', he's holding a ball in his hand, next shot you see the ball on the floor beside him.
  
  
• Continuity: When Conor and Ticky are watching the game through the window at Sluggers and talking, next shot Conor blows smoke from a half-smoked cigarette.. he wasn't smoking at the start of the scene
  
  
• Continuity: In the final scene, when Conor is talking to the team, you can see Kofi's mum's coat right behind Jefferson, next shot she is walking up to Conor with Kofi.
  
  
• Continuity: In Duffy's bar, when Conor and Ticky are celebrating Conor's win, Conor and Duffy are talking, not only does Conor's beer grow in size between shots, but the man in the blue suit disappears and reappears.
  
  
• Continuity: After Conor places the $12,000 bet on what was supposed to be a Chicago Bulls vs. Miami Heat NBA game, he and Ticky watch the game through the window of a sports bar. But the game footage is from a Continental Basketball Association (CBA) game played at the Sundome in Yakima, Washington.
  
  
• Continuity: In the first game, when Miles (the kid with headphones) is up to bat, he is number 9. On his second swing his back is visible and the number is number 7 which is Andre's number.
  
  
• Factual errors: In the "regotiation scene" with G-Baby, only G-Baby and Conor are in the dugout. It then cuts in showing the Kekambas batting. If this were the case, most of the team would be seated in the dugout. Since the dugout only had Conor and G-Baby in it, the rest of the team would be playing defense out in the field.
  
  
• Continuity: Jefferson Tibs first picks up jersey number 35, but when he bats he is wearing number 21, and then when he slides into second he is once again in jersey number 35.
  
  
• Factual errors: In the Kekumbas' first game, the home plate umpire incorrectly brushes off the plate by facing the infielders and squatting. When the home plate umpire brushes off home plate they are supposed to turn their back to the infielders and bend over.
  
  
• Continuity: Right before Jefferson Tibbs is beat up, he is seen without a hat. However, while he is being beat up by the two guys, he is seen with a hat on.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: In the scene where G-Baby is shot, the bullet hole appears to be from a handgun. He is behind all of the gangsters shooting with handguns and the only shots fired back are from a shotgun. There is no way he could have that wound from that gun.
