Hollywood Rated R is the single best introduction to classic cult and exploitation movies. This is a wonderful beginners guide to the likes of Ed Wood, Russ Meyer, William Castle, Herschell Gordan Lewis and Mario Bava. If you're tired of the blandness of contemporary Hollywood try these babies, you'll never regret it!Death to mediocre cinema!

I have always been a huge fan of the exploitation film and this fascinating documentary is the perfect showcase for them. It is packed with funny and insightful interviews with famous exploitation film directors and loads of footage of various kinds of exploiters, from 50's monster movies to violence horror films.The most interesting part about Ed Wood, who all the directors describe as a 'genius'.If you previously had no interest in these sort of films prior to seeing this, I guarantee you'll appreciate them after watching it. You'll definitely want to go out and rent some.
