In one scene the baby starts to cry and the mother shouts very aggressively at her and shouts at her to "shut up" In the next scene the 10 year old boy goes over to try and comfort the baby and his mother aggressively shouts at him "don't you dare" However, when the boy still persists in helping the baby, the mother smacks the boy hard across the face coursing him to stumble back and fall flat on the hard floor. Throughout the movie the mother is constantly aggressive towards the children and there are scenes where the boy in particular is severely punished for very minor things.
