This was the first film to be released on DVD before VHS.
The film crew had considered editing the film down from an R rating down to a PG-13 but they then thought that it would have been disastrous.
Pamela Bowen: The first protesting mother outside the KISS concert, with brown curly hair and glasses. At the time, she was Paul Stanley's real-life wife. They divorced in 2001.
Adam Rifkin: [Blump's] Rifkin uses products and services using the Blump's name in each film. This first appeared in The Dark Backward (1991) so as to not have any current-day products in the film (to impart a sense of timelessness). Numerous items in The Dark Backward were products of "Blump's Industries", which was invented for the film.
