Enid and (a very reluctant) Seymour go into an adult shop. Enid pulls out a device shaped like a face used to simulate oral sex out of it's box and ends up getting a catwoman style BDSM suit after hounding Seymour to buy it for her. She wears it at her friends' coffee shop as a joke.Enid (a teenager) gets drunk at Seymour's (a middle aged man) house, flirts with him, then they end up kissing and the scene cuts to a post-coital scene without nudity in bed. Enid seems a little shocked about what happened but Seymour acts sensitive and non-predatory about the situation, maybe in regret.Other moderate sexual references are made including ones about losing virginity and masturbation.
All in comical context: Some scenes involve men getting in physical but not particularly aggressive looking tussles. A boy's homework for his art class is a crude drawing of a man being bashed in the head with cartoon bloody results by another man with a sledgehammer. A surreal short black and white film is shown which involves doll limbs being thrown into a tub of fake blood.
Of most possible concern is the anatomically explicit C-word being used once but non-aggressively in a somewhat playful manner and might even be skimmed over as it is such a fleeting and casual moment. Also of note, the F-word is moderately scattered around the film it is used 39 times along with other lesser profanity. Finally, even though not considered conventional swearing, some people might be offended by an image of a racist cartoon which is used as a plot point and some other racist and homophobic comments being made.
