Originally Max Mutchnick and David Kohan pitched a straightforward couples comedy in which a gay man and his straight female roommate were supporting characters. NBC liked the supporting characters better.

Goofs:

Revealing mistakes: In the earlier series, the deadlock on Grace's office door is backwards. The door opens inwards yet the part of the lock where the key is required is on the inside of the office and the latch that can be opened by hand is on the outside - rendering the lock useless. This is corrected in later seasons.

Amazing!

Will And Grace is just the best! Everything about it screams class, the scripts, the jokes and most of all the cast, who are one of the best ensemble casts I've ever seen in a sitcom. Eric McCormack And Debra Messing are excellent as Will And Grace, and have some great lines, but its clear that Sean Hayes and Megan Mullally are the real stars as Jack and Karen. Hayes is a fireball of talent as Jack and Mullally's Karen is just one of the best sitcom characters EVER. Will And Grace deserves all the recognition and praise it gets, finally, a gay themed sitcom thats always a joy to watch! More please, and quickly!
