Awesome!

The movie, the story of how five young people are fed up with what the world has to give them and how they decide to take the possibly easier way out; suicide, is one of many realisations. Surely a brave effort on part of the director in casting some not-so-famous actors of the period into etching some very impressive roles. Ramya Krishnan and Anand Babu outshine the rest in playing their roles. The climax, with Shri.Ramakrishnan, a popular news reader from the South, is extremely touching and certainly proved an inspiring model for youngsters and old alike who think that the world is too cruel. Ramakrishnan talks of how the world couldn't be crueler to anyone. He talks of how he looked at but the brighter side of it all; that someone somewhere, had wished them to live; a life that had so many good things about it, that one ought not to spend time crying for what it didn't give and instead; learn to live life as it was given to one and try to shine in one's own way. Inspiring. A must-watch for everyone.

Documentary

This movie is a documentary movie delivering the social message with the usual way of portraying a handicapped man being an achiever. A handicapped visual of two minutes would have delivered the messages. Balachander's character portrayal and the chosen social problems is an interesting choice but charlie and krishnan failed to evoke any laughter. The scene where lovers parents getting married to avoid their children getting married was a moment of surprise but doesn't make any sense and irrational. The director lost his way to end the movie after compulsive narration of those five characters and back door entry of madan bob and ramakrishnan in the middle of the movie is a symptom of the slow crawling movie. But the subject taken at hand is of complex nature and it's hard to make a movie out of such characters. I hope that the next generation should take movies not to reform the society but make them to watch a good movie.

5-person army is sick of the world

One of K Balachander's latter-day films, it features 3 guys and 2 girls who are sick of the corruption, racketeering, et al in the world. Remarkably clueless movie. Maragathamani score a few okey-dokey songs like Nadodi mannargale.
