Kiko the Kangaroo is bindlestiffing through the woods when he spots a sign offering a job as a mother's helper. He finds himself tending three mischievous little bears, who soon get themselves pursued by a hunter in this too-precious-for-words Terrytoon.
Kiko had been formally introduced a month before in FARMER AL FALFA'S PRIZE PACKAGE and was now in his own series with a theme song announcing that "all the kids love Kiko." Paul Terry and his staff knew that they needed some starring characters and had promoted a few out of the ranks of Al Falfa's farm, like Puddy Pup. Kiki was an attempt to build one from scratch.
Alas, not all the kids loved Kiko, and so after a year of watching him hop around wordlessly and use his strong Kangaroo tail to get in and out of trouble, he was retired. It would take another six years for Terry to come up with a real star in Mighty Mouse.
