I only started watching the show because it was on before I left for school promptly at 8. So, at 7:30 I watched it and fell in love with it, (I also thought Wesley Johnathan was really cute). I loved the principal and L-Train grew to become one of my favorite characters after I learned that he wasn't entirely stupid just silly. I thought that the writing was crisp and interesting and the way they handled things were a cut above average
I really look forward to seeing this do for urban comedies what Cheers did for ensemble casts (making every character equally important as opposed to a star and making everything revolve around that character) . I think that the show they replaced it with California dreams did not have the zest that this series had, although it was successful on its own, but not to my tastes.
