Why didn't they make more of these?

Now THIS is entertainment! In an age when TV and movies all look and sound the same Dame Edna puts a crack in the egg. The English have always been way ahead of the Americans when it comes to music and comedy - and this show, or movie, is no exception.

In the guise of a 'talk show', real celebs show up in unusual form. My favorite part is when Charlton Heston, minus his arsenal, prances in with a serving tray of goodies and then must leave immediately because the fondue is burning in the kitchen. This production is so unabashedly silly it had me laughing even when I didn't want to.

Barry Humphries must have been doing this character way before he made this movie - and now I want to see more of his work.
