  • Factual errors: Modern airline windows are made of Lexan and do not shatter when struck by objects. They are also smaller than the ones depicted in this film. Additionally, a bullet will pierce Lexan but will not take the wall with it.

  • Crew or equipment visible: Reflection of cameraman on side of car in the cemetery and on the side of the GMC when Chen gets out of the taxi.

  • Audio/visual unsynchronized: Mark Sheridan speaks without moving his lips when he visits the friend who grudgingly helps him out.

  • Incorrectly regarded as goofs: Cosmo is seen wearing his sunglasses after Royce breaks them. However, in several scenes, you can clearly see that the broken arm has been taped back on.

  • Crew or equipment visible: Camera equipment reflected in truck when first hijacked by Mark Sheridan.

  • Incorrectly regarded as goofs: Noah was shot first in the chest, then in the shoulder (blood visible on his jacket). Therefore, the report of "multiple gunshot wounds" is accurate.

  • Continuity: When Sam Gerard is shot by Sheridan, in the swamp scene, his position on the ground is different.

  • Continuity: Sam moves between cuts after he has been shot at the swamp.

  • Incorrectly regarded as goofs: After the plane crash, an Illinois State Police car can be seen in the background. The plane crashes 20 minutes (by air) outside of Memphis, and the border is about 200 miles from Memphis, so it's (barely) possible for the car to get there that fast.

  • Crew or equipment visible: At the beginning of the film when Sheridan is forced to lose control of his vehicle, a camera angle shows the truck coming toward the viewer. At the next shot if you look to the left of the screen you can see the birdcage style housing box attached to a pole.

  • Factual errors: Chen is a cultural attache at the Chinese Mission to the U.N. However, scenes and dialog all show him coming in and out of the Chinese Consulate in NY. They are actually two separate missions, and the plaque on the Consulate entry with a red tian-an-men image is certainly a fabrication. All Chinese diplomatic and consular missions use a standard brass name plaque with only text on it. The national emblem is also displayed at the entry but it is a round figure.

  • Continuity: Gerard's jacket buttons itself between shots at the cocktail party.

  • Continuity: Cigars appear and disappear in Gerard's shirt pocket while reviewing the garage tapes.

  • Continuity: After the plane crashed upside down, the guns were removed from the gun rack right side up, (i.e. stock down). If the plane was upside down, the stock of the rifle would be upward.

  • Crew or equipment visible: Reflected in the door of the car while the crew is chasing Chen in New York.

  • Continuity: The Chevrolet Caprice used in the film is first shown without the two police style spot lights on it while driving through New York City, then when it arrives at the cemetery, the spotlights are on the car.

  • Factual errors: Due to FAA regulations, prisoners are not allowed to be chained to any part of an airplane.

  • Crew or equipment visible: Reflected in the side of black car as it pulls into the cemetery.

  • Continuity: When Sam watches Agent Barrows drive in the funeral procession coming into the cemetery there are dents clearly visible on the drivers side door of Barrows' car. A few second later when the scene switches to Barrows parking his car and getting out the dents are gone. Clearly a different car was used for the two scenes.

  • Continuity: At the cemetery, the taxi cab's hubcaps disappear and re-appear between shots.

  • Crew or equipment visible: Shadow of camera when Sheridan sits down on the train.

  • Crew or equipment visible: The shadow of the helicopter just after the swamp scenes.

  • Miscellaneous: When Chen is first spotted on Sheridan's surveillance monitor, the surveillance camera is moving towards Chen before Sheridan reaches for the cameras remote control to move the camera himself.

  • Continuity: The plane goes into the water just off the riverbank, yet when Gerard opens the door it looks to be at least 150 feet away from the shore.

  • Errors in geography: After the chase in the cemetery in Queens, New York, Sheridan jumps the wall and crosses the train tracks. A train arrives, but it is a METRA train, coming from suburban Chicago.

  • Continuity: In the grain pile on the ship, the Words "U.S. Marshal" on the back of Chief Deputy Marshal Samuel Gerard's jacket appear and disappear between shots.

  • Revealing mistakes: After the bag switch on the crossing, the bag man hails a cab which is clearly marked "off duty".

  • Errors in geography: When Samuel Gerard is pointing to places on the map of Illinois he is pointing nowhere near Golconda or Metropolis. Also when he points to the Alexander County line he actually points to the border of Williamson and Johnson Counties. Alexander County is 45 miles from Williamson County.

  • Revealing mistakes: When Mark crashes the car into the SUV, there is clearly no-one in it.

  • Continuity: When Chen is on the roof of the Chapel at the cemetery, he is shooting from his left shoulder. As Sheridan speeds away in the Lincoln, Chen moves across the roof and shoots out the back window of the car. During a quick cut facing Chen showing him taking the shots, he is shooting from his right shoulder.

  • Continuity: In the scene when the marshal team were taking Newman to the hospital, both of Cosmo's arms were fine. In the scene at the marshal station, Cosmo has a sling on his right arm.

  • Revealing mistakes: The GMC Suburban the team uses changes from a C1500 2x4 to a K1500 4x4 multiple times during the movie in different scenes. The GMC should not be changing, it is the US Marshall's vehicle. Also, the rims are different on various scenes.

  • Crew or equipment visible: When Sheridan jumps onto the train from the roof of the station, an airbag is visible on the other side of the train.

  • Errors in geography: When Sheridan jumps off of the Loreli building which is supposed to be in Queens, NY he winds up on top of a Metro North commuter train which only operates in the boroughs of The Bronx & Manhattan. The Queens location of the Loreli Bldg is confirmed when Newman’s body is delivered to Elmhurst Hospital which is in Queens, NY.

  • Continuity: When Royce is covering Sheridan's mouth as he lies in bed, you can see the scalpel blade has a safety cover on it. As the scene progresses, there is no time for Royce to remove the cover yet it disappears in time for him to cut Sheridan's hand free.

  • Factual errors: When Gerard hands the glock back to Royce after cleverly swapping the loaded magazine for an empty one, Royce doesn't notice anything unusual. The weight difference between a glock with a loaded magazine and a glock with an empty magazine is significant - roughly 1/2 lb. It would be difficult for Royce not to notice the difference. Additionally, Gerard didn't cycle the slide, so there would still have been one round in the chamber that would have fired when Royce pulled the trigger later.

  • Miscellaneous: Part of this movie was filmed at Reelfoot Lake, in Tennessee. In the end-titles, the lake is misspelled as "Realfoot Lake".

  • Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): When the concierge at the apartment building identifies Sheridan, Noah asks him for a line, but he starts dialing before the concierge finishes accessing the outside line.

  • Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): When Deputy Henry calls Deputy Gerard from Chicago, he reports Marie purchased a ticket to NYC. Garard instructs Henry to get on the plan with her and that agents will meet him at JFK. Henry never told Gerard which airport.

  • Continuity: In the scene where Sam Gerard is walking over to the apartment building wearing the bird costume, he kicks off the bird shoes, and the left shoe is clearly about to land on the hood of the black car. However, in the next shot, both shoes have landed in the street.

  • Continuity: When Gerard is in the room where Noah is shot he uses his radio to call for an ambulance, but this would not be possible seeing as how he turned it off while hunting for Sheridan and did not turn it back on to call for the ambulance.

  • Continuity: In the scene where Sheridan and Gerard are on the roof and Sheridan jumps to the train, the sky goes from overcast to partly cloudy several times.

  • Continuity: When Noah enters the senior's apartment, the door is open but when Sam shows up after Noah is shot, he kicks in the door.

  • Miscellaneous: In the scene where the prisoner on the plane asks to use the toilet the guard says "hold it we land in 20 minutes", the prisoner takes 5-10 minutes to use the toilet. Yet when the plane has to make an emergency landing the co-pilot says there is nowhere close to land.

  • Continuity: When Gerard is getting the last prisoner loose on the plane, the prisoner is handcuffed but when the prisoner is nearing the shore his hands/arms are clearly free.

  • Errors in geography: In the chase scene in the Kentucky swamp, the rear of one of the boat's driver's seats reads "Cypress Point." Cypress Point is in California.

  • Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): During the interrogation scene, the Detective places his glasses on the table. Wesley Snipes falls onto these glasses and the lenses clearly break when he is removing the arm. They are returned to the detective. Later in bed, he takes them from the case and notices the arm is missing, however he puts them on to continue reading - apparently not noticing that the lenses are no longer in the frame.

  • Audio/visual unsynchronized: As the aircraft crashes and rolls on the ground both engines are torn from the fuselage, yet once it finally rests you can hear the jet engines winding down even though it no longer has any.
