This DVD edition of _Mask of Zorro, The (1998)_ by Columbia-Tristar is of high quality.
All aspects of image quality are close to optimal except the area of video artifacts.
The film master used is clean and steady. Images are sharp. Color and contrast rendition are excellent. The noise and grain level is low and compression is solid.
As far as video artifacts are concerned there are unfortunately some overenhanced edges to criticise and some slight noise filtering artifacts. A pity.
This DVD looks good on any kind of display and rarely fails to provide very film-like images. Many shots are reference quality or close.
