Helena Bonham-Carter, who was nominated for a Best Actress Oscar for last year's Wings of the Dove, The (1997), has been signed to costar in the first film to be made by Rocket Films, Elton John's production company. The $5-million film, Women Talking Dirty, will be co-produced by David Furnish who made the documentary, Tantrums and Tiaras, about John. »

Despite a resurgence of the majors at recent awards presentations, performances in independent films dominated the Screen Actors Guild's Awards nominations in the movie categories announced Tuesday.
