Recommended only for Nicole Gian fans. Nothing much to dig about it.

The always hot Nicole Gian stars in this soft core sex movie along with Kevin Spirtas. The plot is simple but works perfect for the movie. The acting is pretty good; Nicole Gian gives a solid and believable performance. This woman breathes sexiness, even when she talks seriously she looks sexy. Shauna O'Brien delivers a sexy (although brief) performance. The rest of the cast is okay.

The problem with "Striking Resemblance" are the minimal sex scenes. The movie starts with a sex scene between Spirtas and O'Brien and I have to say that it isn't a sexy or even steamy sex scene. Both actors look dull and don't seem to enjoy the scene; that is weird coming from O'Brien who always gives great performances and seems to enjoy her scenes. The rooftop setting was perfect for a hot sex scene but it didn't live up to the expectations. For a good sex scene involving a rooftop better watch "Friend of the Family 3" (Mischievous).

The second sex scene is a flashback and it isn't good at all. In my opinion the highlight of the movie is Gian's sex scene with Spirtas. Both seemed to enjoy it and it's always a pleasure to see Nicole naked and in performing different sexual positions. What a sexy woman I must say.

"Striking Resemblance" is not by any means a must see. The plot is interesting but the movie cries out for more sex! With such attractive women that's just a huge mistake. I can't recommend it for soft core sex fans because it lacks of b-movie elements that make these kind of movies enjoyable. Don't bother looking for it; it if airs on cable you just watch it, otherwise don't even bother.

SEE KIM YATES DO A STRIP DANCE

An excellent plot driven soft core film with Nichole Gain as a detective. Perhaps it is a bit slow but the fine acting makes up for this if you are especially tired of seeing the same old simulated sex antics.

For me, the best part was seeing the soft core star Kim Yates do an exotic dancer routine.

Just okay. Forgets too often what kind of movie it is.

Warning: Spoilers
This review contains spoilers.

This is a softcore movie that forgets too often that it's just that, and nothing more. The story is laughably predictable and unoriginal. Now that's nothing new. The stories for all softcore movies are like that. But the really stellar ones know that, and just use the story to transition between and build up to numerous, hot sex scenes.

So what do you end up getting? There are only three sex scenes in this video, which is about six less than there should be. All are boy/girl, and the girls involved are Shauna O'Brien, CeCe Tsou, and Nicole Gian. A lot of the story takes place in a strip club, or involves strippers, so there is still a lot of skin on display during the rest of the video.

But overall, this was a disappointment. There is much better stuff than this available.

A good example of the anti-woman theme
fsikes90576 May 2002
Soft-core movies have strong anti-woman themes. Here are the best examples:#1 If a woman has a affair out of a committed relationship the man she has sex with is unstable, #2 If a man falls in love a with a woman there is a good chance she is using him. This is how writers take out there frustration on there work.

Striking Resemblance is a good example of the #1`anti-woman theme. It's about a police officer trying to solve the case of a murdered photographer who's identical twin shows up. There are some real good sex scenes with Shauna O'Brien and CeCe Tsou. And to top it all off is Kim Yates stripping; always a crowd pleaser. I have to give this movie a "7" for all the good sex scenes; not a great movie, but a real good try.
