- Errors in geography: There are numerous inconsistencies between the geography of the movie's London and the geography of the real London, including the Underground network.
- Continuity: When John and Helen stand talking on a street corner, her blond hair is sometimes falling into her left eye, and sometimes combed up.
- Errors in geography: Jerry makes a joke about withdrawing Helen's Class One Drugs. Great Britain uses an alphabetical classification system so class one should be class A.
- Continuity: Near the end of the movie where Helen accuses Gerry of having an affair, we see Gerry's typewriter in three shots. The paper sticking out of the typewriter is in a different position in each shot.
- Errors in geography: At one point Helen chastises her house mate for asking her "more questions than Jeopardy". Jeopardy is an American quiz show that has only been briefly aired on British television. Even though it is well known in the UK, it isn't sufficiently part of popular culture that two British women would use this show as an analogy.
- Continuity: When Gerry tells Russell that he has ended the relationship with Lydia, he enters the pub and sits down without buying a drink, then finishes a nearly empty pint glass and leaves.
- Continuity: When Helen is meeting James on the tube after catching the train, her hair alternately tucked behind her ear/down along her face.
- Continuity: At the end of the film when Helen and James are on the bridge, her hair is wet when James is explaining his situation. Then when she is crossing the street to use the phone, its still raining but Helen's hair is completely dry.
- Revealing mistakes: When we first time see Gerry in the shower, his dark blue briefs are visible.
- Continuity: When James and Helen are sitting in the diner, they are drinking pink milkshakes. As the shots cut back and forth the shakes disappear and reappear. Also in the next scene James talks about drinking chocolate shakes, even though they were pink, not brown.
- Continuity: At the beginning of the film when Helen walks in on Gerry and Lydia, the straps of Lydia's dress change from being on her shoulder to hanging off her arms between shots.
- Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): When the blonde Helen is in hospital, the lead surgeon is not wearing a mask over his face whilst he is operating on her.
- Continuity: When Gerry and Helen enter the pub, Gerry orders them a drink with ice but the drinks come neat (no ice). Later as the are getting a table, ice appears in both glasses.
- Factual errors: Off licences in the UK don't open at the time Helen would have been getting into work, even though she is running late, so she couldn't have bought the replacement vodka.
- Continuity: Near the beginning of the movie, as James is leaving the building from which Helen emerges just behind him, he is wearing a long coat. When we see him next, in the tube station, his coat is missing.
- Crew or equipment visible: In the scene where Helen catches James and Lydia having sex she confronts Lydia. A camera is briefly visible in the mirror behind Lydia.
