Trivia:

Electric Light Orchestra leader Jeff Lynne originally refused to let the song "Livin' Thing" be used in the film because he has "a problem with sex and violence in movies". Lynne asked to see a screening of the film and loved it so much that he allowed the song to be used.

Goofs:

Anachronisms: There is a poster of Madonna, on a scene from the late 1970s. Madonna only became known to the public in the mid-1980s, a few years after the scene takes place.

Another Academy snub!

This is not so much of a review as it is a testament that it has been proven, yet again, that the Academy rewards money, not artistic accomplishment. And I must say I am saddened that this usually artistic and intelligent band of imbd members have left this off the top 250. Boogie Nights is powerful, raw, and gutsy through script, direction and acting. Very few movies can claim this triple crown.
