A film about the birth of environmental group Greenpeace, in the 1970's, will start shooting soon.
Two books written by the charity founders will be adapted into a screenplay: "Greenpeace: How a Group of Ecologists, Journalists and Visionaries Changed the World" by Rex Weyler, and "Warriors of the Rainbow: A Chronicle of the Greenpeace Movement" by Bob Hunter.
The director in charge of translating the project to the screen is none other than Jon Turteltaub, which may not be for the best: he is responsible for "The Kid" with Bruce Willis, "Instinct" with Anthony Hopkins, "Phenomenon" with John Travolta, as well as "National Treasure" and its sequel "National Treasure 2: The Book of Secrets" with Nicolas Cage, amongst other ge

Bradley Cooper – he’s so hot right now, Bradley Cooper – has signed on to star in the supernatural thriller, Dark Fields.Cooper will play a struggling New York writer who stumbles upon a pill that allows him to utilise every inch of his brainpower, just like John Travolta in Phenomenon. Unlike Jt, through, Cooper uses his newfound smarts to become rich and famous. But there’s a terrible price to pay, when Cooper discovers that dark forces are chasing him, with a view to evildoing. So the message is simple: hey, kids, don’t do drugs. And, following on from the similar message of The Hangover – in which none of the evening’s shenanigans would have happened had not Cooper and his pals taken some roofies – it’s clear that Cooper is secretly some kind of anti-drug czar, trying to win the hearts and minds of the youth of today.

Katrina disaster backdrop? Check. Goodhearted female ghost who happens to be a cellist? Check. Shot at redemption for a disgraced cop? Check, check. Heart strings tugged? The producers hope so. Yep, all the fixings for what sounds like a very vanilla thriller are in place for the upcoming project, Little Murder.
Variety reports that Josh Lucas, Terrence Howard and Lake Bell will star in the indie thriller Little Murder with Peter "Gaga" Antonijevic at the director's helm.
Little Murder, penned by Gerald Di Pego ("The Forgotten," "Phenomenon"), is set in the wake of Hurricane Katrina and centers on a disgraced detective (Lucas, pictured right) who gets an unexpected shot at redemption when the ghost of a beautiful cellist solicits his help in finding her killer.
