This Movie Scars It's Predecessors!, 7 July 2002
Author: (robocoptng986127@aol.com) from U.S.A

This movie sucked! It should never have been made. I mean, it should've been made, but with a better story and characters. None of the

original actors are here, except for Jack Warden (Big Ben) and Gilbert Gottfried (Peabody). This film acts as if Part II never happened! In Part 2, Junior and Ben were living in Mortville and Ben was married. Where have his wife and daughter gone?

The new actors aren't as good. This film makes 1 and 2 look bad. Much like Beethoven's 3rd. If they make Problem Child 4 and it's like this, I'll be very angry! I guess they couldn't have gotten the whole original cast if they wanted to, because, if you wait too long between movies, your chances of getting them all becomes slim. If you make the sequel a year or two or three after the predecessor, you've got a good chance. It's the truth!

So anyway, see 1 and 2. DO NOT see this one! You'll hate it!

Not the same without John Ritter, 15 June 2004
Author: juliafwilliams from New York, NY

Let me guess, John Ritter was not available or did not want to do the part anymore, so someone searched for another actor to play Ben Healey and William Katt was as close as it got. Sorry, but without John Ritter, the film, albeit a television film, is simply NOT the same. Also, Michael Oliver was at the point of growing up (let's see, by calculations, he was about 11 or 12 when this installment was released) and the television biggies had to hire someone close to Master Oliver's character and presence). William Katt played Ben Healey, John Ritter WAS Ben Healey. Problem Child 3 does not have much in the way of substance.

While I cannot sing the praises of the first two installments, Problem Child and Problem Child 2 will be another great way to remember Mr. Ritter's great art of comedic timing.

I miss you, Mr. Ritter. You left this world too soon.

*** This review may contain spoilers ***

I fall in love with this film when I was 4, and it still good! In the way to my opinion, I don't think this was an sequel to the others at all. Come on, he just a child and I enjoy the film today still! My favorite character is Tiffany, she a nice girl! And of course, Junior Healy, I like this kid who play the boy on this film. I HATE THAT DOCTOR PEABOY, He weird! From the other to films of Problem Child was great, good, and a good film to watch! Remember this was the last Problem Child film, and I will remember this film when I grow up! I love to watch with my mom!

Anyway, this film has lots of laughs but you got to a met it not a good story, but it is great to watch with children! 7 out of 10

Terrible, even for terrible, 28 June 2007

This would have to be the worst comedy I've ever seen. The first two were masterpiece's, the first set up Ben Healy and Junior and the second set them up with the perfect partners on both accounts.

Then this came along. Not only did they ruin the original characters by not having the original's play their roles but they also *bleeped* up the story completely by Taking out Trixie, Her mother and Big Ben's new wife.

The jokes are bland and unoriginal compared to the first two and the story is worthlessly crap.

Only watch it if you have a choice between watching it and a documentary on cloth fibers.

come on, take a joke, 11 April 2005

Okay, so it's not the best piece of cinematic history, and it's not as good as the other Problem Child films, but i've seen this movie since i was under 10. It's light hearted, funny, and when you're a kid, you don't have the expectations for a film. So, i think kid's would enjoy this movie more than adults. RATING: 10 for funniness, 8 overall, Also recommended are Problem Child (John Ritter), Problem Child 2 (John Ritter, Much funnier than the first and the two children - Junior and Trixie - are hilarious) and The Crazysitter (with Beverly D'Angelo, Bev and the kids make this another funny (not Oscar worthy) film to enjoy and take it easy). So come on, and take a light hearted joke of a PROBLEM CHILD!!

What a terrible movie, 13 August 2000
Author: moondoggy88 from Virginia

I cannot believe how stupid this movie is. The first to Problem Childs were okay, but this one was REALLY bad. There was no plot whatsoever, and the dialogue was unbelievably terrible. Ok, so Junior's being driven home by his dad after paralyzing his teacher. His dad says, "There's been a lot of accidents lately," and Junior says, "It's that time of year," and gives a retarded chuckle, then realizes his dad is mad, so he says "So you don't like me anymore"?!!!??!!!!!! That was the lamest thing I had ever seen in a movie. It's obvious the scriptwriter took no time into making the script make sense. I give this movie a 0, but if I could give it less I would say -1,000.

Believe it or not, but this is my favorite of the three, 23 December 2009

In fact, I've watched it as a child and many years later as an adult, and I liked it every time. My distinct impression is that Justin Chapman is a noticeably better actor than Michael Oliver, so that was a welcomed change. John Ritter was better, but Ben Healy isn't such a leading character in this movie anyway, so it's not very noticeable. And this one is probably more funny than the first two combined. In fact, I'd say it's almost perfect, as long as you remember two things:

1. Disregard the first two movies - the continuity isn't so good, even though Big Ben does try to explain away the disappearance of some of the characters from the previous movie. What caught my eye the most is that Junior's adoption is completely ignored. But that goes for the second movie as well.

2. Don't take this movie too seriously. Much like "Hudson Hawk", it's designed for a mindless fun, not to be over-analyzed for a deep meaning or lack thereof. If you going down that road and start asking questions like how come Junior always gets away with things that would get him locked up in a real world despite his age, you won't be able to enjoy this movie. Or the first two ones, for that matter.

Anyway, the ending turned out better than in the previous movies, because it was fitting, and yet not very predictable... but that's all I can say here. So I take a point for each of the requirements above and leave it with 8.

Okay sequel, despite its bad reputation, 1 June 2009
8/10
Author: Jmac1988 from United States

A lot of people consider this to be the black sheep of the film series. Mainly because John Ritter and Michael Oliver aren't in this one. Justin Chapman makes a pretty good Junior Healy since he has the same hair color and hairstyle like Oliver had. Many people think it was a mistake to cast William Katt in the role of Ben Healy, since he looks nothing like Ritter. The plot is rather different since in this third sequel Junior falls for the new girl in town, but has to deal with three bullies who plan to steal her away from him. The sometimes disgusting humor which made 1 and 2 funny, is toned down in this one, since it's a TV movie, what do you expect? It's still a pretty good sequel, anyway.

An old childhood favourite.^^, 30 May 2009

It could be just me,but I personally thought Problem Child 3:Junior in love was better than the first two movies. Don't believe the people that write reviews here that are critical of this comedy and describing it as "childish and unfunny".PC3:Junior in love is hilarious! Even some of the humour in this film was witty for the adults too. If you don't believe me,try to find the movie and watch it for yourself(watch some of the scenes with the character Dr.Peabody in it,he is TOO funny). And let's face it,it's obvious that some sequels that are like this movie are better than the original.I'm not saying that ALL movies have good sequels, just the fact there are SOME films that have more depth in plot, characters and jokes than the first movies. It's like what the Austin Powers films were like:International man of Mystery had a great story but wasn't strong on laughs,The Spy who shagged me was getting there with humour,oh and finally:Goldmember, where there were non-stop laughs and excellent character development.

So my last thoughts are:Please watch movies first before judging it.
